Our Creek
As a tributary of the Coosa River, Big Canoe Creek winds its way through the northern edge of beautiful St. Clair Co., Alabama. It is home to over 50 different species of fish, numerous mussels and a plethora of fascinating wildlife. The peaceful 3 mile section we paddle offers amazing opportunities to see such birds as the Great Egret, Barred Owl and Bald Eagle. The Perception Access 9.5
The Perception Acc flat or slow-moving waters, the Access makes everyone feel like a pro by offering exceptional stability, comfort, and control. The 9.5 model’s forgiving
9-foot design makes it popular with beginner to intermediate paddlers. The sit-on-top design makes it easy to get in and out of for the entire family. The shorter length and lighter weight make it a cinch to transport and increases maneuverability.

What we offer
Tent camp with us at BCCK. We have 4 primitive sites that offer a grill, picnic table, fire ring and access to walking trails and the creek. We do have a porta potty, but you will need to provide your own water. Bicyles are welcome, but no motorized vehicles in camping area. We provide a golf cart ride for you and your gear to and from your site. Open 7 days a week.
Campsite 1
Campsite 1 is our family’s original spot. We’ve made so many memories here and can’t for you guys to do the same. With a short walk to the creek, this site offers a grill, picnic table, an extra tall table for all your gear and goodies and wood chips where your tents rest for extra comfort. This site can hold 2 larger tents or 3 smaller ones. Wanna see all the kayakers coming back from their trip, then this is the site for you.

Campsite 2
Campsite 2 is a magical one. Located directly across from the takeout, the site offers space for three tents, picnic table, grill, fire ring and easy access to it all. Watch the kayakers come back from their trips, walk the trails or just sit back listen to the creek and enjoy your campfire. It’s a great area for kids and adults alike.

Campsite 3 is probably my personal favorite. With room to spread out a little more, this site offers a grill, picnic table, chipped bedding for up to 3 tents, fire ring and a small field directly in front of the site. You are still creek side, but slightly removed from the action. Surrounded by peaceful views and sounds, this site should stay pretty booked!

Campsite 4 is a secluded fishing haven! Directly across from our family’s fishing hole, this site offers a grill, fire ring, picnic table, bedding for up to 3 tents and a quiet retreat from all the action. Nestled in the woods, this site is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Bring your fishing pole and sit back to relax.
